Cast your cares

Before I even opened my eyes this morning, I was thinking about our dogs, and how they had been while we were gone. Did they get enough attention? Would I get everything I needed for checking out of our cabin done at the right time.  I didn’t get around to posting yesterday. We were too busy doing this

And looking at that

I was thinking about  the arrival time home and making sure it coincided with my other family’s plans……

You know what those are? Cares?

You know what Jesus said to do with them?

Cast em.

Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you. 1 Peter 5:7

They weren’t necessarily bad things, and yes, they are things that need to get done, but I’m on to the enemy’s tactics. He wants to take our focus before we ever get out of bed.

Why? Because cares don’t seem like a big deal, but they can steal your joy, and they can rob your priorities of seeking God First.

We have to get things done, but when we fret or worry about how all the things that need to get done are accomplished, in our own strength, it becomes worry.

The truth is, God’s Got this.

He’s got this day, because He made it, and if a human engineer can hold up that overpass by his ideas, then I’m positive that the God of the universe, can hold me up today.

There’s a rest in that. You may be facing circumstances today that seem monumental in comparison with my dogs, and the blog….but I want to tell you friend, it’s the same Mighty God holding both of us, and there is Nothing He can’t do for those who believe.

In order to cast our cares, we have to believe the second part of the verse I shared……

that He cares for us.

And He does. Way better than we can care for ourselves.

So, I hope this post finds you this morning with coffee in hand, enjoying God’s Presence, and redirecting your cares and concerns to Him.

This is our Promise;

But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.
34 Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof. Matthew 6:33-34
