For your shame ye shall have double; and for confusion they shall rejoice in their portion: therefore in their land they shall possess the double: everlasting joy shall be unto them.
Isaiah 61:7
If a man shall deliver unto his neighbour money or stuff to keep, and it be stolen out of the man’s house; if the thief be found, let him pay double. Exodus 22:7
We have found the thief.
Actually, Jesus did, and pointed him out to us in John 10:10, when he informed us that the thief comes not, but for to steal, kill, and destroy, but he, Jesus, came that you and I might have life and have it more abundantly.
The thief tried his best attempt at ruining our marriage recently. It’s not the first time, and Dust and I agreed that it probably won’t be the last. We’re not calling that into our future, but we’re sober, like the Word says we should be.
Satan hates family. That started in the garden. He recognized that the only way to get to the Father was through his children.
His aim;
to decieve them and strip them of their God given authority and power. Unity.
Where God’s children are united, there are no impossibilities.
Remember the Tower of Babel?
And the LORD said, Behold, the people is one, and they have all one language; and this they begin to do: and now nothing will be restrained from them, which they have imagined to do. Genesis 11:6
WHAT?!
Nothing is impossible that we can imagine when we are unified?
So, let’s reflect for a minute on yesterday’s post about church family. Why wouldn’t the enemy want to isolate and divide?
Division is a limitation. Satan knows that. His mission is to divide and conquer.
What’s the antidote?
When the church was birthed in the book of Acts, God deposited one heavenly language back into the earth. Jesus redeemed our power and Authority back into our lives, and starting with the first disciples, until now, He promised that if two or more are gathered in agreement as touching any certain thing, it will be done.
So, I’m practicing unity. Won’t you join me?
First, I’m agreeing with God. What He says about me and my situations, is what goes.
Second, I’m agreeing with my man. I’m submitting to him in the fear of God as the Word says.
If I do the first part, God will take care of the second.
Next, to my church family.
Submitting yourselves one to another in the fear of God. Eph 5:21
Does that mean I always agree with every decision? No, but it does mean I’m after this ;
If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone.
Romans 12:18
Which was the headline to my devotional this morning.
Second witness.
The thief has been caught, friends. We’re now on to his schemes. Now he has to repay.
Double for our trouble.
I will restore to you the years that the swarming locust has eaten, the hopper, the destroyer, and the cutter, my great army, which I sent among you. “You shall eat in plenty and be satisfied, and praise the name of the Lord your God, who has dealt wondrously with you. And my people shall never again be put to shame.
