Open Book

As I was helping my daughter, Peyton with her school work today, her brother called for me  from the other room.

After I checked in on him, I realized, as I was walking back in to check Peyton’s work, that I had left the score key open right bedside her.

God spoke softly to my heart,  as I wondered if she had taken advantage of the answers , that we too have been given “open book” tests.

Remember open book tests in school? You could go through your text book to find the answers while taking the test?

I loved that kind.

Every day, we have tests to pass.

Will we be kind to the unkind?

Will we maintain integrity?

What do we do about this situation, or that?

Yet, God has given us the score key.

We get to take the tests the world throws at us with the answers from God right in front of us…. if we choose to.

I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live: Deuteronomy 30:19
