A Rock and a Hard Place

And between the passages, by which Jonathan sought to go over unto the Philistines’ garrison, there was a sharp rock on the one side, and a sharp rock on the other side: and the name of the one was Bozez, and the name of the other Senah 1 Samuel 14

I’ll never forget the first time I heard this message preached.
I had found myself between a rock and a hard place. I was looking for direction and feeling like I was crammed between two opinions.
Then God sent the Word I was looking for and said through a minister, “If you find yourself between a rock and a hard place, Look up.”
1 [[A Song of degrees.]] I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help.
My help cometh from the LORD, which made heaven and earth.
So often we feel helpless while traveling our journey on earth. We feel like we are responsible to carry the weight of the world on our shoulders, but Jesus actually told us the opposite,
Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Matthew 11:28
When we’ve looked all around for the answers, and found none, it’s time to look up.
That’s where our help comes from.
Help is where I’m camped this morning.
I needed help.
It began yesterday, while wrestling again with looking to people for answers, that the Holy Spirit brought that memory back into my heart of what the minister had spoken to me years ago.
Then again this morning, in the Bible app, came the model of Prayer (The Lord’s Prayer ) that my Help, Jesus Gave to his disciples, you and I included.
As I got down to “thy will be done” I began to ask the Lord about His will.
Interestingly, I found  that the first mention of the Father’s Will was in response to Adam in the garden.
It was not good, or God’s will for Adam to be without help.
So, He made Him a Help meet.
Ladies, we aren’t just for show.
We were designed for a specific purpose.
We are created, to help.
That was the beginning of the will of God.
When we remember that God is our help, And we come directly to Him for the answers, we flow freely to give the help to our spouses and others that we were meant to give.
Lift your eyes this morning, sweet friend, that’s where your help comes from.
