“Thus says the LORD, Who gives the sun for light by day And the fixed order of the moon and of the stars for light by night, Who stirs up the sea’s roaring billows or stills the waves when they roar; The LORD of hosts is His name: “If this fixed order departs From before Me,” says the LORD, “Then the descendants of Israel also will cease From being a nation before Me forever.””

According to Dave Crank, “Jesus is either Lord of All, or Not at all.”
As I read this passage of scripture this morning, I’m reminded that if this part of the Word is Truth, then every line of the Word is Truth.
If I’m making plans today based on the assurance that light will break forth by the morning, and darkness will fall by the moonlit night, then I’ve placed my Trust in God, whether I know it or not.
The whole world does. Whether they acknowledge it or not. And that is what marks the difference between a believer and a non believer.
(I’m sure there will be interjection here by stating that Jesus marks whether we are believers or non believers. Absolutely, but again, we either believe All is Truth or None is Truth and Jesus told us that No man can come to the Father but by Him. So if we believe any, we have to believe all)
The Word says in Romans 1:18-21
¶ For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness; |
19 Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed itunto them. |
20 For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse: |
21 Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened. |
Surely God is God. Salvation has been Secured by Jesus. It is Finished. The question is not whether or not there is Provision, the question is how will we respond?
Do we say, Be it unto me, According to Your Word, like Mary, at the point of conception?
Or do we believe by our own estimations what we’ve felt and based our opinions on?
It’s all about Agreement with the Word.
If the sureness of the Sun Coming up and The Moon breaking through the darkness, causes us to know that the day and night have come, we can be just as sure, that every promise made by God is ours for the taking when we Agree with it.
