It’s a Brand New Year.
A Brand New batch of opportunities await us-
The Promised “Land” awaits us.
No, I’m not just talking about Heaven. I’m talking about every Promise that Jesus made, “yes” and available to us this side of heaven.
For all the promises of God in him are yea, and in him Amen, unto the glory of God by us. (2 Corinthians 1:20)
In the Old Testament, when the Israelites came out of Egypt and began taking the territory that the Lord gave them through the Promise, He told them that there would indeed be enemies who would try and oppose their progress.
There were “ites” in the land they were to inherit. . The Jebusites, The Hittites, etc, were groups of people who opposed the Israelites from taking what God had promised.
There are “ites” who want to do the same to us today.
They have different names, but it’s the same opposing spirits of fear, dread, confusion, anxiety, negativity and worry.
However, God sent the Word of Encouragement before they ever faced any of their enemies, and He enforced those same Promises through Jesus.
| When thou goest out to battle against thine enemies, and seest horses, and chariots, and a people more than thou, be not afraid of them: for the LORD thy God is with thee, which brought thee up out of the land of Egypt. |
| 2 And it shall be, when ye are come nigh unto the battle, that the priest shall approach and speak unto the people, |
| 3 And shall say unto them, Hear, O Israel, ye approach this day unto battle against your enemies: let not your hearts faint, fear not, and do not tremble, neither be ye terrified because of them; |
| 4 For the LORD your God is he that goeth with you, to fight for you against your enemies, to save you. Deuteronomy 20:1-4
*No matter what enemies you may face in this coming year, you can rest assured that You do not have to fear or dread them. With God on your side, You are Victorious before you ever step into the battle. Let’s make 2019 the year we take more territory for the Kingdom than ever before. |
