25 After the same manner also he took the cup, when he had supped, saying, This cup is the new testament in my blood: this do ye, as oft as ye drink it, in remembrance of me. 1 Corinthians 11:25
I just took communion. Jesus said I could. As a matter of fact, the very phrase, as often, means that He suggests, that we should do it often. After battling in my mind the past few days, against an assortment of attacks, I was led to take communion. Communion isn’t just a religious act. It’s exactly what He says. Communing with Him at the point of your need. If you need healing, commune with Him about what He accomplished for you where healing is concerned. I needed healing for my mind tonight. I needed to meet Jesus and commune with him about how He overcame anxiety and oppression. He reminded me that His blood washed me clean and His body was broken. A part of his body was broken for my mental health. For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind. 2 Timothy 1:7 Thank you, Jesus. As often, as I need Him to communicate His Grace, He said to take the bread and the cup in remembrance of All He has overcome. For me, and for you, if we believe what He says. |
