Baby, Write this Down….

“Baby, write this down, take a little note. To remind you in case you didn’t know…..”

George Straight is known  for the lyrics of this  song, but the Holy Spirit used it to share with me the importance of what is written.

Jesus solely used what was Written to combat the enemy’s lies  during the time of His temptation in the Wilderness.

He urged me to do the same recently while being attacked with accusations from the  devil.

“We have,” Peter the Apostle said, “a More sure Word of Prohecy….”

More Sure Word…

what is Written is the final authority on any matter.

Sometimes, like in the wilderness temptation, satan will cleverly try to attack with the Word, Using only a portion of it.

Satan caught on to Jesus’ love for the Father and what was written, so after the first assault of just out right defiance of what God had said, He then used some of the written Word to tempt Him.

¶ Then the devil taketh him up into the holy city, and setteth him on a pinnacle of the temple,

6 And saith unto him, If thou be the Son of God, cast thyself down: for it is written, He shall give his angels charge concerning thee: and in their hands they shall bear thee up, lest at any time thou dash thy foot against a stone.

7 ¶ Jesus said unto him, It is written again, Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God.

Notice Jesus’ response, “It is  written again ”.

Paul told Timothy to rightly divide the Word of Truth and here is the reason why-

Satan hopes that we don’t know the Word, because he does. Remember, he fell from heaven.

That’s why it’s so important to stash the Word of God in our hearts on the daily. God always sends the Word we need ahead of time. The Word is always there, but He updates us on what we need each day…. our daily bread.

It’s also important that we take the Word that has worked Mightily before and make a monument with it.

When, not if, the enemy attacks again, (the Word says that he left Jesus for a season) we need to be ready to overcome, by the blood of Jesus, and the testimonies from our previous experiences.

The Spirit of the Almighty God drew you and you were saved by Grace through faith.

And…God proved that He loves you so much, that He sent Jesus to take your place when you were still an enemy to Him-

Not before you got cleaned up.

Every time we take our love letter from God, His written Word, and declare it in resisting the enemy, a monument is made.

Thats also how David defeated Goliath.

He remembered God’s Power in overcoming the bear and the lion.

What would make this giant any different?

SAME MIGHTY GOD.

Whatever giant you may be facing in your life right now, I can assure you that the answer, and your victory, lies in what is Written.
