As you know, I’ve been spending time with my friend, Wisdom.
Laying in bed this morning, enjoying the warmth, and the thought of just five more minutes, she reminded me, that she loves to be in God’s Presence.
So, I decided to follow her.
Coming up my stairs, the song lyrics to a Worship song came bubbling up as I walked up and past my stair gate……
“As I come into your presence, past the gates of praise, into your sanctuary, where we’re standing face to face. I look upon your countenance, I see the fullness of your grace, and I can only bow down and say….You are Awesome in this place, Mighty God.”
Praise proceeds God’s Presence. And in His Presence, is the fullness of Joy.
Are you longing to reach Joy? Fullness of Joy?
Wisdom will show you how to get there.
Wisdom agrees with the Written Word.
I read a devotional a while back where a man was lacking in Joy. He was sharpened and intrigued with his fellow Christian co worker who seemed to always be smiling and contagious with the overflow of Joy. So one day, the man walked up and asked the Joy Filled fella to pray for Him to have that same kind of overflowing Joy.
”No, I will not do that,” the man said. “The Word declares that in God’s Presence is the Fulness of Joy. If you want Joy, you’ll have to get in God’s Presence.”
That would offend most people, But it’s the TRUTH.
God has given us what we need. He promises us that we can enter boldly into His Presence because of what Jesus has done.
16 Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need. Hebrews 4:16
and in another place;
Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, andinto his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name. Psalm 100:4
If you have set your course for Joy, these are your landmarks;
1.) Enter in to His Presence with Thanksgiving
2.)Go on in with Praise
3.)Bask in His Presence
4.) Come away with Joy, the Fulness of Joy.
Solomon was offered anything he wanted by God. He chose wisdom.
