Fiery serpent

And the LORD said unto Moses, Make thee a fiery serpent, and set it upon a pole: and it shall come to pass, that every one that is bitten, when he looketh upon it, shall live.
9 And Moses made a serpent of brass, and put it upon a pole, and it came to pass, that if a serpent had bitten any man, when he beheld the serpent of brass, he lived. Numbers 21:8-9

I have been undergoing heart surgery again for the past few days. God revealed to me that I had some hatred, and jealousy that was clogging up my ability to hear from him clearly.

Just like our natural heart needs to stay free from blocked arteries to function properly, the same is true for our heart towards God.

So, after freaking out about it… (heart attack) I knew God doesn’t lie- I asked Him to reveal the source of the problems and I agreed with Him in repentance.

Simple as that.

So, I’m head over heels this morning to have been led to these scriptures.

I had been bitten, by the enemy’s lies. By bitterness, resentment, offense, hate, jealousy, and pride and arrogance.

But, PRAISE BE TO GOD, I’ve been bitten by a Greater. I have chosen to Look upon Jesus, whom this shadow and type of brass serpent represents.

Looking unto Jesus, the Author and the Finisher of my faith. Hebrews 12

I didn’t start this journey on my own. It was the working of the Holy Spirit and all that God accomplished through Jesus that has gotten me to this point. He started the work- And He it is that will see to it that I finish my course in VICTORY.
