Refiners Fire

“Now may the God of peace Himself sanctify you through and through [that is, separate you from profane and vulgar things, make you pure and whole and undamaged–consecrated to Him–set apart for His purpose]; and may your spirit and soul and body be kept complete and [be found] blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. Faithful and absolutely trustworthy is He who is calling you [to Himself for your salvation], and He will do it [He will fulfill His call by making you holy, guarding you, watching over you, and protecting you as His own].”
‭‭1 THESSALONIANS‬ ‭5:23-24‬ ‭AMP‬‬ https://www.bible.com/1588/1th.5.23-24.amp

My son Isaac came running into the kitchen earlier, with soon to be tears in his eyes, telling me something was wrong with his daddy.

“What?” I asked.

“He just told me No.” he said. “He isn’t playing with me.”

So, I reassured him,  as I picked him up in my arms and we both went to find daddy.

I knew that Issac’s assumption was scued. Issac and daddy are best friends.

His daddy is the best daddy in the world, in his eyes, and mine.

Issac loves him so much, that instead of wanting to be a race car driver, or baseball player when he grows up, he wants nothing more than to be a dad!

So, I knew something was up.

We got downstairs and yes, as I was certain, Daddy still very much loved Issac, but He had told Him No, an answer Issac didn’t want to hear.

Have you ever been there?

Unsure of the Father’s Love in the heat of the fire.

When refinement is taking place in your life, you feel as though you must be far from the Father’s Love, but in reality, the very opposite is true.

Be encouraged by this Word of Truth if you find yourself in the fire.

And ye have forgotten the exhortation which speaketh unto you as unto children, My son, despise not thou the chastening of the Lord, nor faint when thou art rebuked of him:
6 For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth.
7 If ye endure chastening, God dealeth with you as with sons; for what son is he whom the father chasteneth not? Hebrews 12:5-7
