“The seventy returned with joy, saying, “Lord, even the demons are subject to us in Your name.” He said to them, “I watched Satan fall from heaven like [a flash of] lightning. Listen carefully: I have given you authority [that you now possess] to tread on serpents and scorpions, and [the ability to exercise authority] over all the power of the enemy (Satan); and nothing will [in any way] harm you. Nevertheless do not rejoice at this, that the spirits are subject to you, but rejoice that your names are recorded in heaven.” In that very hour He was overjoyed and rejoiced greatly in the Holy Spirit, and He said, “I praise You, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that You have hidden these things [relating to salvation] from the wise and intelligent, and have revealed them to infants [the childlike and untaught]. Yes, Father, for this way was [Your gracious will and choice, and was] well-pleasing in Your sight. This is what the Holy Spirit woke me up to this morning. Not in the Bible app, just in my spirit.
As I looked it up, I thought of how exciting it is to see the Word Work!
I know it does. I have seen it. My eyes have been blessed to see God do things that I could not do on my own.
There is excitement when We see what God says He wants to happen, happen.
My husband was so excited to tell me of a revival that brought a wheelchair bound girl to her feet. Not only to her feet, but she started dancing!
It works!
I have just experienced resurrection in my life and marriage, as well.
I can attest to the Truth that GREATER IS HE THAT IS IN US, than he that is in the world.
The ONE in your boat with you, is Greater than the storm that tosses your boat around!
Yet, Jesus said, don’t be most excited about the power you have over demons as much as you should be excited that your Name’s are WRITTEN in the book of life.
In other Words, this is just preliminary to the excitement of spending the rest of your life, starting now, in the Presence of Your Father and your Brother, Jesus.
In His Presence is the FULLNESS of Joy!
What Jesus was teaching was something I seen not to long ago, on my mom’s little devotional board….
“What you behold is what you become.”
We don’t need to behold the enemy and what he does.
Jesus watched him fall like lightning from the presence of God. No big deal. That’s how Jesus treated the enemy.
We need to behold God, and in His Presence, we are changed from Glory to Glory!
We become all that we behold Him to be!
