If you were stranded on a deserted Island…….?

6 And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him. 1 John 4:16

Coming to the other side of this past storm, I’m more convinced than ever that God isn’t as impressed with all the scriptures we know, but the ones that we believe.

I know a lot of scripture.

I’ve quoted “Greater is He that is in Me,” for years.

How could I have missed that first part?

The whole of that verse says,

Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world. 1 John 4:4

I’m sure you’ve heard people ask what one item you would want to have with you if you were stranded on a deserted island?

This scripture is packed with everything I need, and you need-

Whether on an  Island, in a community, or any other form of chaos that should, and will at some point come into your life.

I’d known it, but believing it to my core…..

not until now.

Let’s break down the magnitude of what the Apostle John packed in this verse;

1.) We can be without question that we Are of God,

2.) We are not just of God, but we are His Children. (Jesus said, I no longer call you servants, but friends)

Something Changes when you find your position as a child of God instead of a worker for Him.

3.) MOST IMPORTANT*

You have ALREADY overcome them (any Anti-Christ)

Anything or anyone that tells you anything contrary to the Word of Truth.

4.) Because GREATER IS HE THAT IS IN YOU, than he that is in the world.

Did you know that?

Next, and most importantly, do you believe it?

We can then move forward with confident assurance, that whatever this world, or island….

let me just stop here and write what I believe the Holy Spirit wants to say….

you can be in the world, full of people and feel as though you’re on an island. The enemy of our soul wants nothing more than to cause us to doubt that we are a part of a family.

Yes, you and I are not the only ones experiencing heartache, or fear, or anger, or sin, or anything that is opposite the Blessed life.

Those things will constantly oppose us this side of heaven, but, we DON’T have to let them penetrate what already belongs to another!

The Stronger man, Jesus, is the owner of this tabernacle, Praise God.

We’ve been bought with the precious blood of Jesus and Restored to God’s very own family.

You are not alone. You are not defeated. You are not helpless, or hopeless,

YOU ARE……

A child of God, fully  equipped for every opposing force.

The Truth is, you already have everything you need, Jam-packed in the Greater ONE Who resides IN you.
