I remember when I first learned to ride a bike without training wheels.
I don’t know about you, but for me, it was scary to chart unknown territory.
So, I pleaded with my dad, “not to take his hands off.”
Anybody with me?
As I went into the kitchen this morning for my coffee, I noticed a cup with the familiar “footprints” message on it-
“it was when you only see the one set of footprints, my child, that I was carrying you.”
Hold on, I’ve got Yet a third witness that He gave before, remember,
about the movie I watched-
with the girl, and the mom who seemed absent from practice in those days,
only for the girl to realize later that her mom had become her coach, in disguise, to be closer to her than she had been before.
What am I trying to relay to you,
rather,
What is our Heavenly Father trying to relay to us?
I WAS THERE. IM HERE. I WILL BE THERE.
Just like my daddy’s hands holding my bike and then staying close enough yet letting me go,
like the footprints 👣 of being held when it seems like you’re in it alone,
like the closer coach, who isn’t just telling you what to do from afar, but actually interacting in the game WITH you,
that is your God.
My God.
2 He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things? Romans 8:32
That’s what I’ve beeh thinking about.
Would the God who gave His best to get us back, now leave us alone?
Would he withhold information that would keep us safe or in any way try and mislead us?
Would He bring us out this far to take us back again?
No. God forbid as Paul said.
If our God is for us, and He is, who then dare be against us?
He is with you.
