I have been renewing my mind lately to capture and cast down any accusatory thoughts.
Accusations are set in motion from the enemy of our souls.
Whether it be towards your spouse, your best friend, your brothers and sisters in Christ, or even God, these thoughts must be renounced.
When left unattended and allowed to be built upon, we step into shaky territory.
I have realized lately that when I begin to listen to those thoughts and accuse someone, I’m now working with the enemy.
So, I have chosen to REFUSE TO ACCUSE.
This is what James has to say about the matter.
| ¶ Speak not evil one of another, brethren. He that speaketh evil of his brother, and judgeth his brother, speaketh evil of the law, and judgeth the law: but if thou judge the law, thou art not a doer of the law, but a judge. |
| 12 There is one lawgiver, who is able to save and to destroy: who art thou that judgest another? |
I trust that, God, because of His Great Love for us, wrote this letter through James to deal with the very situations that we still have today.
Same lying devil, but also, and More so, Same Greater God.
He is Faithful and Just to forgive and cleanse us, and forgive and Restore His unbroken fellowship in our lives.
James also said;
| But he giveth more grace. Wherefore he saith, God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble. |
| 7 ¶ Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. |
| 8 Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded. |
So today, I choose, to draw nigh to God, and refuse to accuse.
