Perspective

I got an email the other day, with a Prophetic Word about Prespective, and How God wanted us to shift from only seeing things a certain way, for so long, that it has kept us in bondage.

Now the Word says,

Despise not prophesyings.
21 Prove all things; hold fast that which is good.

The key Word is prove.

I’ve learned to prove everything first and foremost with the Word, and then with confirmation.

So, it would be, that in the next couple of days, I would be lying on the floor, playing with my Son and my husband.

I saw things from a totally different perspective!

The refrigerator, the  stove, and dishwasher seemed immaculately clean while standing upright, looking over it, but while laying eye level, I saw that there was yet much more cleaning that needed to be done.

How can that relate to God and Prophecy?

Couple of things;

Position is everything.

I had started a blog yesterday, where the line of thought was How we are perceiving ourselves.

Do we see ourselves as a giant over the grasshoppers (enemies of God’s Word)

or do we see ourselves as the grasshoppers (small and frail against the enemy…on their level or beneath)?

3 And there we saw the giants, the sons of Anak, which come of the giants: and we were in our own sight as grasshoppers, and so we were in their sight. Numbers 13:33

Our Position will determine the outcome as we see in the lives of Caleb and Joshua in this account.

They saw themselves as the giants over giants.

The other ten spies saw themselves as grasshoppers.

I was reminded of that passage after reading this from Kenneth Copeland;

“When you take on a spiritual posture of self-pity, you’re actually standing in a defeated position—a weak stance that beckons the enemy to get involved and “help” you continue down the wrong path. He’ll even use your wrong thinking to push you even further—maybe far enough to blame God for not rescuing you or letting the situation happen in the first place. If you’re already in this place, it’s time to see the red flags flying in the air. Get out of this mindset and do it quickly. It’s a ticking time bomb that will not get you where you want to go.

Instead, resist the devil—resist self-pity and the blame game—and take back your position of power. A person in power doesn’t complain—he takes action.”- Kenneth Copeland

It’s all about what position you see yourself in.

I’m not talking about mind over matter philosophy.

I’m talking about taking your place that Jesus gave you in if you belong to Him.

And that’s seated together;

And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus:

Notice, we have been raised up.

From that perspective, we see the enemy as less than, right?

But what happens when we come down on his level?

Now it’s a toe to toe match.

That’s  not the will of God for our lives.

We have to choose to see ourselves like God sees us.

And How God sees the enemy,

its not an even match….

He has overwhelmed the enemy in our lives.

The enemy is a creature, NOT the Creator!

Hallelujah.

Then, God used this example with the refrigerator and the other appliances to show me, that, unless you see things from a different perspective, sometimes you don’t even realize something is there.

There is junk in all of our trunks.

Sometimes we estimate ourselves a little higher from our own opinion, in the natural.

Like, have you ever been, (or maybe even had, lol… I have) a yard sale in which you noted they, or you were “pretty proud” of the stuff?

C’mon, a yard sale is a yard sale, not a discount sale of retail price!

Any fellow yard salers  with me?

Paul admonished us;

For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith. Romans 12:3

(Of Himself…..think more highly of Himself .)

The balance of these points is this,

we need to agree and say what God  says about our  stature and position, but not have a fleshly, high opinion of ourselves.

God has GIVEN,

We are simply the stewards of every good thing God has gotten into our hands.

So, maybe, like me, you need to see things from a different perspective either way.

Find the truth and allow God to bring into balance every area of your life.

He wants the Best for us.

The Best life, is the Blessed life!
