Wise Men bring their gifts-

And when they were come into the house, they saw the young child with Mary his mother, and fell down, and worshipped him: and when they had opened their treasures, they presented unto him gifts; gold, and frankincense, and myrrh. Matthew 2:11

This scripture reference is speaking of the Magi who brought their gifts to the Newborn King, but God has been dealing with my heart lately, that wise men and women are still bringing their gifts to the King.

We May not be bringing gold, frankincense  and myrrh, but we bring out of our treasures the very things that God has blessed us with.

1 [[A Psalm of David.]] The earth is the LORD’S, and the fulness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein. Psalm 24:1

When you think of it like that, there is nothing that you and I ever “give” that wasn’t first given to us.

Your talent, your job, your family, even your money are all blessings from God, emerging from His Fulness in the earth.

So, what does bringing your gift look like to you?

Maybe it’s a testimony.

Maybe it’s a Word of Encouragement.

Maybe it’s picking up your neighbor’s kids for her after school.

Maybe it’s sharing the Truth in the midst of deception.

Whatever the Gift, when you present it to your neighbor, you’re presenting it to Jesus.

Wherefore he saith, When he ascended up on high, he led captivity captive, and gave gifts unto men. Ephesians 4:8

Jesus gave us the gifts to give to each other.

Just yesterday I began to read a fellow bloggers testimony.

Her gift blessed me and assured me once again, that “there’s more like us.”

We all battle.

The Bible tells us so, but when we come across a testimony that God brought someone else out, it gives us the gift of hope.

I believe I’m talking to someone today who struggles to present their gift.

Maybe someone told you it wasn’t important.

Maybe you’ve compared your myrrh to another’s seemingly Gold gift,

but friend, God gave you the gift and the grace tailor made for you.

Do you think the Father was surprised the night the wise men showed up with the gifts for His Son?

No way, He deposited those gifts in the hands of those who would do with their gifts what they were designed to do-

be presented.

I encourage you today to look to your hand.

What has God placed there?

Don’t tell me nothing…

The widow woman in the book of 2 Kings replied that she had nothing….

except……

a little.

What is your “except”  today?

Present it to the King by presenting it to His body on the earth.
