You belong

I have had a thread of this thought, “you belong” going on in my spirit for a while now.

The urgency and heart cry of The Father towards everyone that I come in contact with.

It makes me think of the Taylor Swift song, “You belong with me.”

God often sits on the sidelines of our lives watching us, as we run to and fro, searching for anything and everything to fill a void that He alone, was meant to fill.

Yes, He is the One our heart longs for.

We were created to be Loved and to belong to Him.

I’ve been meeting with Jesus in the book of John.

I always seem to return to John when I feel like I’ve gotten off in the deep end, of things, spiritually speaking.

It seems if anyone knew they belonged to Jesus, it was John.

He was the one who referred to Himself, as the One whom Jesus loved.

Some would call that cocky, but I admire the confidence.

I love seeing Jesus at work in the book of John.

In Chapter 1, we meet Nathanael, who may actually have been a bit cocky, we can assume  by his question of whether anything “good” could come from Nazareth?

But  we also see the almost witty, and humorous  side of the Master as He reveals Nathanael’s thoughts.

Jesus saw Nathanael coming to him, and saith of him, Behold an Israelite indeed, in whom is no guile! John 1:47

He didn’t demean or rebuke Him, He just simply let Him know that He knows everything, but assured Nathanael, He belonged.

That’s how Jesus is with us.

He knows us, all about us, but we still belong.

That’s why I love Romans 5:6

For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly.

He knew the worst parts of me, and still paid the price.

The same is true about you, and every person on this planet who may be blinded to the truth that they belong.

God, the ultimate Father, sets the solitary in the family.

The family of God.

There’s no place I’d rather be,

and

If you haven’t made the decision by Faith, to become a part of God’s Family, I’m hopeful that you will make that decision today.

Choose Jesus, and what He did for you.

He is the Way to the Father.

He is the truth about who you are and what you were intended to be.

And He is the LIFE-

you’ve always dreamed of.

Thank you Jesus for bridging the gap.
