“Set your mind and keep focused habitually on the things above [the heavenly things], not on things that are on the earth [which have only temporal value].”
‭‭COLOSSIANS‬ ‭3:2‬ ‭AMP‬‬ https://www.bible.com/bible/1588/col.3.2.amp

I asked my husband how his day was going as we texted first thing this morning.

“Fantastic,” He said. “How about yours?”

He had already been at work since 4am, so his day could have been determined by now.

My eyes had just opened.

I replied back with “fantastic,” but how would I know what the days holds?

That’s when, immediately, the Holy Spirit brought up what I had read before….

SET YOUR MIND….

Then I began to think of the racing scene.

Dusty has a “dial in” while He bracket races.

It’s  a number, the speed that you forecast your car to run to consistently, every time, and when you do, you Win!

If you and I want to win today, we have to set our dial to “fantastic”.

That doesn’t mean every circumstance, or thought may be fantastic, but our attitude will be.

Our attitude proceeds our altitude!

Set your mind on things above, not things on the earth….

that doesn’t mean you live oblivious to what you’re doing here, it just means that when your refrigerator quits, or you spill coffee on your favorite shirt, it doesn’t change “fantastic.”

Neither of those things will make it with you to heaven.

They can be replaced.

But the time,

your present, from God, won’t be the same tomorrow.

And the people, that you alone, were sent to minister to, and to be ministered by, they will be what really counts toward what matters in Heaven.

Jesus died for people, not things.

Lord, Help me see people today the way you do. Help me with perspective, and setting my dial to the right place. Then this day, that you have made, will be Fantastic, just like you intended, and I will rejoice and be glad in it.
