“Cause my fear doesn’t stand a chance
When I stand in Your love
My fear doesn’t stand a chance
When I stand in Your love
My fear doesn’t stand a chance
When I stand in Your love!”  Josh Baldwin lyrics

Oh, how it blesses my soul, when I wake up to the Spirit of God singing through me. This was bubbling all night long and into my thoughts first thing this morning.

Did I wake up without fearful thoughts?

On the contrary.

As a matter of fact, I’ve spent days wallowing in guilt and fear based on my lack of good performance,

This morning,

condemnation; MEET JESUS

None of you; agents of anti-Christ, stand a chance as I STAND in His Love.”

This is just a culmination for me this morning as to what God began a couple of weeks ago in my desperate attempt for deliverance.

I was struggling.

Those I love and cared for around me; struggling.

The Wednesday before Resurrection I merely showed up to church.

All I had left, was Worship.

That’s the only thing that propelled me to go.

I still knew, despite what I felt, He was and is Worthy of my Worship.

On my way, God began to deal with my heart about the  Gadarean “demoniac” as most theologians call him.

He’s the man in Mark 5, that the storm in Chapter 4 tried to inhibit Jesus and his disciples from getting to.

But Fear, didn’t stand a chance with Jesus on board the ship, or when Jesus landed on the shore.

Mark 5;

And they came over unto the other side of the sea, into the country of the Gadarenes.
2 And when he was come out of the ship, immediately there met him out of the tombs a man with an unclean spirit,
3 Who had his dwelling among the tombs; and no man could bind him, no, not with chains:
4 Because that he had been often bound with fetters and chains, and the chains had been plucked asunder by him, and the fetters broken in pieces: neither could any man tame him.
5 And always, night and day, he was in the mountains, and in the tombs, crying, and cutting himself with stones.
6 But when he saw Jesus afar off, he ran and worshipped him,
7 And cried with a loud voice, and said, What have I to do with thee, Jesus, thou Son of the most high God? I adjure thee by God, that thou torment me not.
8 For he said unto him, Come out of the man, thou unclean spirit.
9 And he asked him, What is thy name? And he answered, saying, My name is Legion: for we are many.
10 And he besought him much that he would not send them away out of the country.
11 Now there was there nigh unto the mountains a great herd of swine feeding.
12 And all the devils besought him, saying, Send us into the swine, that we may enter into them.
13 And forthwith Jesus gave them leave. And the unclean spirits went out, and entered into the swine: and the herd ran violently down a steep place into the sea, (they were about two thousand;) and were choked in the sea.
14 And they that fed the swine fled, and told it in the city, and in the country. And they went out to see what it was that was done.
15 And they come to Jesus, and see him that was possessed with the devil, and had the legion, sitting, and clothed, and in his right mind: and they were afraid.

As our Worship leader began, with her devotional that morning about Mary’s extravagant act of worship (the pouring of her costly perfume and wiping Jesus feet with her hair)-

I was even more determined that evening to Worship the Lord with all I had left.

This Mary, had been delivered.

God began to download what happened when this woman, and this man, gave what they had left…..in Worship.

They were DELIVERED.

Let’s talk about this man, who referred to the demon control of himself as “Legion”.

He’s not a fictional character for starters.

He meets the criteria of people we pass and hear stories about every day;

The cutters….

The manic depressed…

The tortured…..

The Fearful….

The raging……

I mentioned five, of the oppressors that this man was bound by, but he was bound by Many.

That’s how I felt, in my mind.

I’ve experienced some dreadful things, and it seemed that night that I had reached my limits, but I have never been as desperate as this man in my search for freedom for myself and others.

But that was just it,

the revelation,

was searching for a way to bring freedom.

Among the tombs….

the dead places and dead ends that seemed to no avail.

But when I came to the end of myself, and began to Worship,

revelation came.

You shall know the Truth and the Truth shall make you Free.

What is the Truth that brought Freedom?

Legion, “we are many” WAS NO MATCH for the Mighty Jesus.

I don’t care what you and I may be facing today,

it’s not even a match for Jesus.

Fear doesn’t stand a chance, guilt doesn’t stand a chance, insecurity doesn’t stand a chance, strife doesn’t stand a chance….

not when we are STANDING IN HIS LOVE.

Begin to Worship the Lord today.

You May only have a little Worship left, but we know what God does with a little.
