This is War

Take every thought CAPTIVE;

Every thought.

If you and I would come to the reality that we, as believers, are in a war, we would take our thoughts more seriously.

That’s where the battle lies.

We may not be facing literal enemies with guns and swords, but I assure you, every thought that is in rebellion to what Jesus accomplished on the Cross, needs to be taken into captivity.

Look at it like a real war.

Would you let an enemy soldier take up residence with you in your camp…

No, you would either take him out, or take him captive to your Master.

That’s what  The Word says;

Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ; 2 Corinthians 10:5

Bring every thought captive….to Jesus.

Ask yourself if the thoughts you’re having line up with the Cross?

Are they thoughts of defeat?

Denying you the right to be healed?

Prosperous?

Joyful?

Hopeful?

Are they of confusion?

God doesn’t authorize confusion.

Take that one out…..

You get my point.

I woke up yesterday morning with thoughts of discord and confusion…

Then the Holy Spirit reminded me that where my thoughts wander, I will follow.

I had to take them captive.

I did, and that changed the course of my direction.

And if you will, it will change the direction of your life as well.

Father, I pray for your Grace to recognize and discern thoughts of the enemy that are trying to wreck havoc in our lives.

Help us to take them captive immediately, to Jesus, the way, the Truth, and the Life.

Your thoughts are higher, and they are better than any other.

Help us to think only on the things that cause us to conform to your Word.
