Winds of change

Here in Missouri we’ve been experiencing some major winds.

(this was from last April)

I had to help my in laws,  get ready to open their pool early this year because the wind keeps blowing the cover off.

No matter how tight they get it or how much they weigh it down, somehow the wind keeps getting under it and blowing it off, leaving debris behind.

Sometimes our lives feel like a windstorm.

Can I get an amen?

As I sit with dry lips and a red face this morning, the effects of the windy days are evident in my outward appearance.

The wind can leave us dry.

I’m applying this concept to the things I write this morning.

Thinking of reaching out to others to ask what would make my writings more appealing, God reminded me, that this whole process wasn’t for popularity, but for me to pen what I believed He had for us at the time.

Myself included.

If I’m really trusting God, then trusting means to believe what I may not be seeing.

(I just watched the movie Breakthrough last night. When it seemed as though all Hope was lost, LIFE came breaking through little by little, until that boy was Fully Restored.

Nicole Crank said something monumental to me the other day, I say me, because I recurved it….

she interviewed the nurses and doctors that experienced the miracle and most of them said, they knew what they had seen, but they had to go home and sleep on it.

In other words, they had to process the experience.

Nicole said, you could be right in the middle of your miracle right now, but because of the emotional and physical aspect of things, you don’t fully realize it…

thats where debris gets in, and leaves the reality cloudy.)

Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. Hebrews 11:1

The Holy Spirit reminded me this morning that I’m to make a draw from the well….

Therefore with joy shall ye draw water out of the wells of salvation. Isaiah 12:3

So, then, according to the Word, there isn’t a place where we have to be dry.

We may feel dry, but that’s not the reality.

The Truth is, Salvation is an inside job.

The well is within.

Remember the rivers of living water that Jesus placed inside?

We aren’t digging those old religious wells of Jacob, but the Everlasting Water Of Salvation That came straight from the Source Himself.

There are times we may have to dig a little deeper before we find what we’ve been looking for, but I assure you, it’s there,

in the Well.

As I wrap this up today, here is my thought, about the pool scenario, and life-

the pressure of the winds caused a change to occur for my in laws.

The issuing in of a new season.

Spring has sprung.

Maybe prematurely you say, but,

The pool and spa consultants  actually say the longer you keep your pool open the better.

The chances of algae and other irritants have a harder time growing when a pool is opened and moving.

Reminds me of us.

It’s easier to cover up and stay concealed, but the longer we “uncover” our lives and allow the movement of the Holy Spirit,

the better off we are.

The irritants and things that grow in the dark can’t stay around.

Yes, it may mean more maintenance, but the water is much clearer!
