Two Talents

““Also the one who had the two talents came forward, saying, ‘Master, you entrusted two talents to me. See, I have [made a profit and] gained two more talents.’”
‭‭MATTHEW‬ ‭25:22‬ ‭AMP‬‬ https://www.bible.com/bible/1588/mat.25.22.

Here is another verse from a different perspective.

God has been dealing strongly in my heart about the importance of managing His Goods.

Two of His goods, in particular,

Peyton, and Issac, my children.

I’ve always had an awareness in my heart that our children aren’t just kids we have,

but they are God’s children we train.

When we look at everything from a management perspective,

first of all, it breeds Thankfulness in our hearts.

I’m overjoyed this morning to look back at God’s faithfulness where my children are concerned.

He gave them to me.

My husband and I had a hard time getting pregnant,  naturally.

One doctor told me that I would possibly need fertility,

but God had given me the seed of His Word!

It worked.

Today, I’m managing two of the most precious children on earth.

Praise God.

This morning, like any manager of goods, God is reminding me to take inventory.

For me, that means to look into both of my children’s personalities and differences to make sure I’m working with God to meet their needs adequately.

What may work for one, doesn’t necessarily do the trick for the other.

As I am finding that out.

Things that were smooth sailing for my daughter, just don’t flow the same way for my son.

But I’m learning that God is teaching me so much, in the process of training them.

For instance, when I hear them bicker back and forth, and begin to address the issue, I’m reminded by the Holy Spirit just how petty the things are,  that we, as adult believers, bicker over in the body of Christ.

I start seeing things from God’s perspective.

“Why can’t you all just get along?”  I’m sure Our Father must think, just like we do.

His love for us never changes, even though we may act out of sorts.

His correction in our lives, just like ours with our children, yields fruitfulness.

Everything begins with Him.

The earth is the Lord’s and the Fulness thereof.

He started with a Seed.

What has he placed in your hands to manage?

When managed right, it will multiply.
