Only Jesus

I came into my quiet time this morning with a phrase that the Gentiles used,

(Gentiles were the “outsiders” at Jewish feasts)

in the day of the feasts,

when they said to the disciples,

“We must see Jesus.”

That’s where I’m at this morning.

Needing  to see Jesus.

So, as I opened to His Face,  in the Word,

this was what I came to.

The impotent man answered him, Sir, I have no man, when the water is troubled, to put me into the pool: but while I am coming, another steppeth down before me. John 5:7

Yes, I must see Jesus this morning.

He already sees me.

Right through my excuses.

He sees me wander from person to person to find out what He has to say,

and to do,

what He alone,  wants to do for me.

Don’t get me wrong, the body of Christ is here for a reason, but He wants to be the first One you coming running to,

not the last….

when no one else answers the phone,

or thier door.

I believe He is wooing me even more this morning to run to His throne instead of my phone.

Then,  He reminded me of years ago.

It was the beginning of my walk with the Lord and the spirit of fear was terrorizing me.

I drove from house to house.

Phone call to Phone call.

I realize now, that I was looking for someone to put me in the water!

I AM. He’s breathing to me this morning.

I AM greater than your need.

I AM even Greater than the water.

Yes, I Must See, I must BEHOLD, my Jesus.

“Rise up.” He told the man.

He’s telling me.

“Rise up to sit with me in the Heavenly places.”

“From there, my enemies are being made my footstool, and you play a part in that.”

When that man rose up, the enemy of impotency was defeated.

Jesus hates sickness and disease.

When I rise to my place In Him, enemies are defeated, in His Name.

Jesus wants to raise some things up today.

I See Him.

He is Victorious over EVERYTHING.

The woman saith unto him, Sir, thou hast nothing to draw with, and the well is deep: from whence then hast thou that living water?
12 Art thou greater than our father Jacob, which gave us the well, and drank thereof himself, and his children, and his cattle?

She couldn’t see past where she had been looking.

When we look to where we’ve naturally drawn from, we are tempted, like this woman, to miss Jesus.

“I AM He,”

He says to her,

after she argues,

and tells him she knows where the best place is for worship-

She then proceeds to tell Jesus that she knows exactly what the Messiah will be like when He returns.

Don’t we always think we know?

“I AM He.”

He says.

“I AM the Love you’ve looked for in all the wrong places, Chelsea.”

I’m your approval.

I’m your Provision.

I’m your deliverer.

She dropped her pot….

Her buckets with “holes.”

Her empty longings.

She finally found, all that she had been looking for.

Her Living Water. Her living Lover.

Yes, She dropped her emptiness, and now full, she ran back to all the other empty people in her community.

“Let me tell you about a man, WHO KNOWS EVERYTHING about  ME…”

He’s told me all I’ve ever done-

And yet, He loves me the same.”

I can just hear her, as I hear myself,

thinking;

He must needed come through my region, to give me a Drink,

so I would,

NEVER BE THIRSTY AGAIN.

He is,

that well that never runs dry.
