And these signs shall follow them that Believe…
I don’t know about you, but I’ve spent a lot of my time as a believer looking for the next Big thing for God to do in my life.
Like I said the other day about running.
Instead of looking at how God had graced me to run four miles a day, I was tempted to be unhappy with my time.
But-
when I actually STOP to think of all that God has done, I’m amazed at just How Faithful He is and How little Thanks is going on sometimes in comparison.
I thought that about the movie Breakthrough, and the little boy that God brought back to life!
I thought about the lunch I had yesterday with a friend of mine who had been addicted to drugs and has been delivered and set free.
At that, I thought of my own life and how Jesus saved it.
It’s not that we aren’t seeing miracles, it’s that we fail to magnify the Goodness Of God.
Instead of believing Him for Who He is, we are too busy waiting for the next big something.
It’s nothing new.
God’s Goodness, In comparison to the due praise to His Name isn’t just overlooked in our generation.
Remember the ten lepers?
¶ And it came to pass, as he went to Jerusalem, that he passed through the midst of Samaria and Galilee. |
12 And as he entered into a certain village, there met him ten men that were lepers, which stood afar off: |
13 And they lifted up their voices, and said, Jesus, Master, have mercy on us. |
14 ¶ And when he saw them, he said unto them, Go shew yourselves unto the priests. And it came to pass, that, as they went, they were cleansed. |
15 ¶ And one of them, when he saw that he was healed, turned back, and with a loud voice glorified God, |
16 And fell down on his face at his feet, giving him thanks: and he was a Samaritan. |
17 ¶ And Jesus answering said, Were there not ten cleansed? but where are the nine? |
18 There are not found that returned to give glory to God, save this stranger. |
19 And he said unto him, Arise, go thy way: thy faith hath made thee whole |
Notice that His Faith,
the belief and appreciation of what had just happened-
the time it took to STOP and really think of what had happened,
didn’t just take care of the leprosy,
but made Him WHOLE!
God has been speaking to my heart about the difference of being whole and having a leak somewhere.
If there’s a leak… no matter how much is poured in, there will never be enough-
but if It’s sealed, the the more you fill it, it will overflow.
These signs shall follow, them that believe.
Manifestation of the things you need and desire, for yourself and those around you, will come through Manna-“feast.”
Feasting on Him.
Realizing, that it’s In HIM that you already have everything.
When the 1/10 realized that it was Jesus who had healed Him,
His Praise, (Faith will always Praise)
made Him complete.
No more leaks.
My prayer for you and I this morning is to feast on Him.
Feast on all He has done.
Feast in His Presence, where He’s promised a table before us in the Presence Of our enemies.
As we feast on Him, we will fill up and overflow to the others He has also paid to feed.
We won’t need to be looking for the next Big thing.
He is the Biggest Thing we could ever desire, and as We feast on His Manna, His Word, And His Faithfulness to it,
what we need will Mani-fest!
