I’ll never forget that night.
I was Livid.
I said, “God you already know my heart and what I’m feeling right now.”
Shut up in a tiny bathroom with my little bible promise book, He instructed me that what I was feeling like doing and what He said to do, were not in conjunction.
“Ok” I said, “Then you have to help me.”
Here was the simple instruction;
KEEP YOUR MOUTH SHUT.
My flesh was screaming.
“I don’t deserve this.”
But that one act of obedience changed the course of my life.
The Same is true for you and I today.
We can, and should Be real with God.
He already knows anyway.
He knew about your situation before you were ever even tempted by it.
So, being the Amazing Father He is,
HE SENT GRACE TO YOU-
through Jesus’ Obedience.
How did Jesus respond?
To the Critics, to the Betrayers, to the Sinners and to the scornful…
He overcame evil with Good.
Inside of us, is the Power to do the same.
Greater is He that is In Us….
I’m so overwhelmed right now by God’s Love and Glory.
The Truth is, we are overwhelmed all of the time by His Glory and Grace.
He said where sin abounded, Grace did MUCH MORE abound.
The problem with the connection is whether we feel like it or not, and that’s where,
We need to come up higher.
Yes, We may not be where we want or need to be, but what matters is what we do with the Now…
So today, I’m Smitten with His Word.
The reality of Truth, not emotion.
David penned this and I wholeheartedly agree;
Thy testimonies also are my delight and my counsellors. Psalm 119:24
Don’t let your emotions counsel you.
Instead choose to let the Word direct your decisions.
I’m choosing today to not look back at my failures,
or to be led by what I feel at the moment,
but to His Victorious ability in my life.
What worked?
Overcoming evil with Good.
It will work again.
