“So He called them to Himself and spoke to them in parables, “How can Satan drive out Satan? If a kingdom is divided [split into factions and rebelling] against itself, that kingdom cannot stand. And if a house is divided against itself, that house cannot stand. And if Satan has risen up against himself and is divided, he cannot stand, but is coming to an end.”
I was amazed to read this morning that even some of Jesus’ own family said He was “out of His mind”-
when the crowds began to gather and things began to shake up.
Two kingdoms were at work, and the One was Greater than the other.
None the less,
the people who didn’t want to see anything that they were used to,
change,
felt the need to access the situation.
After trying to figure things out,
(things that were extraordinary)
Jesus told them,
(this is according to Chelsea lingo)
“do the math.”
Anything divided by itself is nothing!
It can’t stand.
It cancels itself out.
They were attributing the things that they saw Jesus do, and what they didn’t understand to the enemy.
And Jesus was saying that satan can’t cast out satan.
Jesus was showing that the Goodness and Power of God sets people Free, it doesn’t bind them up.
When He was casting out demons, people were having a hard time understanding it all.
Simple Math, Jesus assured them.
I’m doing some simple math in my heart tonight.
I’m being reminded often, as I see the darkness multiply,
That same Word that Elisha the prophet spoke to his Servant…
“There’s more with us, then there is with them!”
Us>them.
Simple math.
Jesus Won.
Darkness has been overcome.
Pray with me the prayer that Paul prayed in Ephesians 1;
That the eyes of our understanding would be enlightened to know the True Hope of His Calling.
The Higher Hope.
The Greater One Living inside of us.
The Greater One than anything against us.
Jesus in Us> than what’s coming against us.
Simple Math.
Hallelujah
