I’ve often pictured myself …
climbing to a high point in the middle of Walmart,
Especially in the Prescription line,
Declaring to anyone who would listen,
That there has already been a price paid for their Healing and Freedom.
That Someone took their place and made a way for Wholeness.
(It’s heart wrenching to watch, as some are denied health care because of insufficient funding or lack of medical research.)
Yes. His Name is Jesus, the One True, Health Care Provider and He wants them Free.
But Then I hunker down, as I look to my frail flesh in proportion to all those needy broken people.
Who am I? I think to myself.
That’s just it… it’s not about who I am.
It’s about who He is and what He has done.
Magnifying Him is the Answer.
How do we do that?
A magnifying Glass of course.
The glass, or mirror of His Word.
Look through it with me right now.
“Who has measured the waters in the hollow of His hand, And marked off the heavens with a span [of the hand], And calculated the dust of the earth with a measure, And weighed the mountains in a balance And the hills in a pair of scales?
*I’m going to comment for a moment, as I just did what I wanted to tell you to do,
and that was,
Take inventory of this. Really ponder it.
He calculates the dust of the earth!
I struggled yesterday to teach my seventh grade, home-schooled daughter, math.
This reminds me, or shows me today, that my God, who loves me,
is packing this kind of information from within me if I know I can draw it out.)
That’s a game changer!
Look again;
With whom did He consult and who enlightened Him? Who taught Him the path of justice and taught Him knowledge And informed Him of the way of understanding? In fact, the nations are like a drop from a bucket, And are regarded as a speck of dust on the scales;
(*That person who intimidates you, who makes you feel less than, They are no match for your God. He is the Ultimate counselor and Boss. He can give you wisdom, as David said, to be wiser than your enemies.)

Now look, He lifts up the islands like fine dust. And [the forests of] Lebanon cannot supply sufficient fuel to start a fire, Nor are its wild beasts enough for a burnt offering [worthy of the LORD ]. All the nations are as nothing before Him, They are regarded by Him as less than nothing and meaningless. To whom then will you liken God? Or with what likeness will you compare Him? As for the cast image (idol), a metalworker casts it, A goldsmith overlays it with gold And a silversmith casts its silver chains.
(*Greater… that’s Who He is.
My daughter and I just had the conversation last night, about the darkness that you see looming everywhere. Sketchy. She calls it. But I believe God wanted me to see This about Him this morning. There’s no place in this “shadow of death” where our Shepherd isn’t GREATER. Darkness cannot comprehend His Light.)
Do you [who worship idols] not know? Have you not heard? Has it not been told to you from the beginning? Have you not understood from the foundations of the earth [the omnipotence of God and the stupidity of bowing to idols]? It is He who sits above the circle of the earth, And its inhabitants are like grasshoppers; [It is He] who stretches out the heavens like a veil And spreads them out like a tent to dwell in. It is He who reduces dignitaries to nothing, Who makes the judges (rulers) of the earth meaningless (useless).
(*At this point, I’m thinking about money and the fickleness of it. Yet how much it’s idolized, but the Word says that it is the Lord who gives the power to get wealth.
Guess where it all came from… His creation. Gold was invented, by God, not man.
The next time you’re tempted to be led by money, remember, God is the source, and you have the Source LIVING IN YOU.)
“To whom then will you compare Me That I would be his equal?” says the Holy One. Lift up your eyes on high And see who has created these heavenly bodies, The One who brings out their host by number, He calls them all by name; Because of the greatness of His might and the strength of His power, Not one is missing.”
ISAIAH 40:12, 14-19, 21-23, 25-26 AMP
(*Finally, look up this morning… this thing we call day, was fashioned by God. We see the sky change from darkness to dawn like clock work every day of our lives and there is nothing we could do about it.
Not the wealthiest person.
Not the wisest person.
Not the prettiest person.
No one compares.
The God We serve, His Kingdom Rules over all.
Doesn’t that change how we look at our day today?
If God be for us… who or what could be against us…
