My Father

I’ve often heard others refer to those who hold roles of the leadership positions in the church, as “men and women of God.”

Like the Prophets, Pastors, Teachers etc.

I don’t believe there’s anything wrong with that,

but I’m basking in the fact that My Father, calls me….

His daughter, Above All else.

There’s nothing better than being a Son or Daughter of God.

Jesus even referred to himself as the Son of God.

That’s the Highest position anyone could ever hold.

God,

Almighty God,

made us,

His children.

The Mighty God of everything that we read about yesterday….

The One who knows everything.

Designed everything.

And upholds everything,

Chose to call me His Daughter!

So, as I’m praying the “Our Father,” this morning……

He has really been dealing with my heart about meaning what I pray.

Anything other than that is fake.

Fake is religious.

The other day I got to the part, “Give me this day my daily Bread… and He said, that’s where you’ve been missing it. You pray this, but you’re not looking at my daily bread.”

Then I got a message from another preacher with exactly the Same thought. I knew He was megaphoning me!

So, first thing today, I’m looking for my daily bread and then again, in this prayer to my Father, I get to the part of “deliver me from evil” and He asked me if I really believed that?

I’ve prayed it every day, yet still walked around with a nagging sense that I need to protect myself from the enemy.

I’m not capable of that!

No wonder some days I’m exhausted without doing a thing.

I’m spinning the wheels of my brain trying to figure out how to keep myself,

when MY FATHER, yearns to do that,

otherwise Jesus, (The first begotten and our example)

wouldn’t have showed us to pray that way!

Ok… let’s back up. Pray this again, and mean it.

Believe it.

Approach our Father as His Daughter or Son, just like Jesus.

That statement may be too much for you… to think of being in that position,

But I’m telling you, it’s the Highest Position you could ever attain,

only you didn’t,

Jesus did for you.

Look at what He says to the first Daughter, after the resurrection;

¶ Jesus saith unto her, Touch me not; for I am not yet ascended to my Father: but go to my brethren, and say unto them, I ascend unto my Father, and your Father; and to my God, and your God. John 20:17

There’s our Birth certificate.

To as many as Received Him… to them gave He the POWER to become the Sons of God.

Oh, Hallelujah.

You’re a Child of God.

I don’t care if you’re a professional baseball player or professional ” hot dog eater” as my daughter once said,

You’re a Son or Daughter of God and there’s no greater Profession or Position.
