“The fundamental fact of existence is that this trust in God, this faith, is the firm foundation under everything that makes life worth living. It’s our handle on what we can’t see. The act of faith is what distinguished our ancestors, set them above the crowd.
By faith, we see the world called into existence by God’s word, what we see created by what we don’t see.”
Hebrews 11:1-3 MSG
After coming through a Storm season in my life this past weekend, I realize yet again the importance and power of Words.
They are the Building Blocks of our future.
God framed, the world,
like the framing of a house,
with His Word.
We are made after His image.
When I think of the word image this morning, I think of a blue print for a house.
It’s the design by which you start to build.
There is an image of God on the inside of you that releases the faith to build the desires of your heart.
I believe a New Creation heart will aspire to build the desires of God.
I was reminded of my blue print the other day.
My strong Godly desire is to build My House.
That of My husband, and Children.
The Word says in Proverbs 14:1
Every wise woman buildeth her house: but the foolish plucketh it down with her hands.
It took a near crash and burn for me to realize that I had been plucking my house down with my hands.
By the negativity and self righteousness of my own words, coming from my own heart,
I was tearing my house down instead of building it up.
But how many of you know… I’m preaching now….
We have A Master Builder on the inside that can help with the Rebuild process,
Making it better than before!
So, today, I’ve had a mind change.
That’s what repentance is.
I’m changing my mind on how I use my Words.
First I had to change the image in my heart.
There were some wrong images of religious, self righteousness, that needed to be cast out.
They need changed into the image of who God made us to be.
I loved this scripture today that tugged at my heart where religion is concerned;
“By an act of faith, Abel brought a better sacrifice to God than Cain. It was what he believed, not what he brought, that made the difference. That’s what God noticed and approved as righteous. After all these centuries, that belief continues to catch our notice.”
Hebrews 11:4 MSG
The better sacrifice is from the heart, not the action.
God has to change the image in us before He changed the build.
Then, we take those blue prints and start building and framing with our words.
Our house will then be back up in no time!
