How many children have come home to parents, sobbing-
that they wanted to play a better role in the Christmas play?
Even from a young little age, there is a drawing to be the star of the show.
Fast forward into adulthood and see how it lingers.
I love what John wrote about Himself,
John was not that light…..
(John was not a super star,)
But pointed to the One who is!
This is the life of a believer.
This is our mission.
Jesus said that the least in the Kingdom is Greater even then John.
That’s hard to wrap our minds around,
Since I would say you aren’t familiar with the disciplined life of eating locusts and honey,
Well, maybe the honey,
But you, like me, think “oh no, that’s too great a role…”
But yet, isn’t this very thing what we are called to do?
Lead others to the Light?
And it should be fairly easy in this season..
People are lined up looking for “Christmas”.
No, You aren’t the star of the show,
But you are a Star that shines for lowly-
You are the one that can point your loved ones to that Light.
You are the one whose life seems peculiar in the midst of a crooked generation.
So, Shine Bright today, Brothers and Sisters.
Let His Light- in you- shine so Bright that others will come and Behold Him.
