But God

“But God, rich in Mercy, came to save me, now I’m alive!”

That should be a song….

There has been so much controversy over repentance.

The Grace message, too an extreme has almost left us with a sense that repentance was done away with.

But Jesus has the final say, on any particular doctrine or matter.

Not only did He, in the book of Revelation, the final book in our instruction manual, but He will at the end of all things.

God has put His Word (King Jesus) even above His Name.

So when I see Jesus say to the churches in Revelation that their behaviors have need of repentance, I take it to heart today.

“Those whom I [dearly and tenderly] love, I rebuke and discipline [showing them their faults and instructing them]; so be enthusiastic and repent [change your inner self—your old way of thinking, your sinful behavior—seek God’s will]. Behold, I stand at the door [of the church] and continually knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with him (restore him), and he with Me.”

‭‭Revelation‬ ‭3:19-20‬ ‭AMP‬‬

Let’s look back to the “trail” we hypothetically started out on, shall we?

(You may have to go back to the beginning of my blogs if you don’t know what I’m talking about. If you’re a first timer, Welcome.)

Let’s say we’re hiking with a guide.

We’ve been on trail for weeks now, with an appointed destination.

There are little arrows pointing to the finish, but we swerve off to the side to look at something that’s caught our attention, instead of following the designated path.

What kind of tour guide would it be-

to just watch you keep going off course and remain silent?

If we see in the natural, that this doesn’t make sense,

Why would we believe any different of the Greatest Guide of all?

Yes, He loves us.

But He detailed what His Love entails in the above scripture.

Whom I love, I rebuke and discipline.

He loves us, through correction.

His love is demonstrated all throughout the Word, yet people, including myself, have simply silenced the tour guide’s instruction.

In the natural we think we know our way around, or we just don’t want to be told any different.

That’s fine if you want to stay lost!

I don’t know about you, But I want to reach my destination.

Again, Yes, Jesus is the only sacrifice.

I could never please God through works, but James said that faith, without works is dead.

Faith that is Alive and activated receives from God, and what is received is then given.

For instance, if I receive the Love of God, I’m going to share the Love of God.

So, if I’m not walking in love, the problem can’t be fixed with my “trying” harder.

That would simply be works.

The real problem would be my receiver.

My hearing.

And then, my heeding.

I need to receive the Love of God through understanding, by Faith, and then it will flow.

Faith will begin to show forth works.

Just like if you filled a bucket with water.

The fuller it gets, from the source, it will overflow, but the bucket can’t make its own water!

God has to be the One who fills you up.

And you have to be the bucket.

True Grace, has paid for everything.

But faith is how we receive it.

We have faith by hearing the Word.

And the Word says, He’s standing at the door,

Knocking.

Do you hear Him?

Will you answer?

Then He will come in and dine with you, and Restore you.

Hallelujah.

There’s a reason He wants to Love you like that.

Not for your destruction, but for your restoration.

I know in my life lately, after hearing and opening the door for the King,

We have been undergoing some major dent and ding repairs.

While switching gears, I realized through His Word, that some of my parts were wearing out and needed to be replaced.

I even had to swap motors!

I went from a small block (flesh minded) to a big block (Spirit minded)-

And so can you.

It didn’t come from a sponsor either. You won’t change by outside sources.

Nothing from the outside can change the inside.

No, my Father is the Greatest Owner/Mechanic the world has ever known.

He makes, and works on the parts.

We have free access, to all He has, but I had to see it in His Word-

what Grace had made available-

what was there in the inventory,

and then open the Door to it.

We have to open the door.

It’s a relationship.

God does His part, we do ours.

Jesus knocks, we open.

He shows us the dings and then we agree and He fixes it.

Brothers and Sisters, we can’t accelerate by staying the same.

If you’re not moving forward, you’re moving backwards!

So let Let the wrenches begin a turnin-

If you are thinking you don’t need any work…

Then you aren’t racing.

Don’t kid yourself.

Race cars always need worked on!

Ask me how I know.
