“But when you pray, go into your most private room, close the door and pray to your Father who is in secret, and your Father who sees [what is done] in secret will reward you.”
Matthew 6:6 AMP
In the Secret, yesterday, I determined in my heart, that, I would be happy rain or shine.
I should actually use the Word joyful, because there is a difference.
Joy is a fruit of the Spirit’s leading.
It’s not determined by circumstance.
Happiness is something that often comes and goes depending on how you feel at the time.
When I originally started writing this, we were on vacation, and the forecast offered no hope for sunshine.
(However, I’m back from vacation now and it was perfect weather!)
But Praise God, We don’t see by this world’s forecast.
That was my choice.
We have to begin to determine from the Secret place, that come what may,
We have the power to over-come it.
Again, it doesn’t surprise me that I’m opening this today.
It’s pouring outside.
I had plans to run.
And last night’s plans didn’t go how I had imagined them either.
Been there?
My amazing husband had to remind me of the choice I had.
I could let the circumstances steal my joy, or choose to keep it-
reigning over my emotions.
And God honored my decision.
We overcame and had a great date night and today, we will make alterations to adjust to the weather–
Or, I dare say that the weather has to make alterations to fit our needs.
Whew!
I know that rang some bells.
But do you know that Elijah was a man just like us the Bible says,
And he prayed that it wouldn’t rain,
And it didn’t!
Let’s remind each other that a GREATER than Elijah reigns in us!
Get with God in the Secret place and find His Plans for you today!
*P.S– As I finish this, I just finished running-
in heavy rubber boots in the rain!
God meets us where we are. Hallelujah!
I was reminded of the lady with only a “little” left, again.
She had provided first, for the man of God, and then God multiplied her little.
Praise the King for looking on our hearts!
