I often use that phrase.
It’s offensive to some, I’m sure, because we all wrestle to be the favorite.
But you know what… you are.
Just like I tell my kids.
Peyton is my favorite Peyton.
Issac is my favorite Isaac…..
And even their friends, are my favorite friends… each by name.
Esther was the King’s favorite.
Of all those women, like watching modern day bachelor, she was favored.
Jesus makes us the favorite.
We find favor with God and man.
Look at what happened to Esther’s Uncle because of favor.
“But the plot became known to Mordecai, who informed Queen Esther, and Esther told the king in Mordecai’s name.”
Esther 2:22 AMP
Favor can set you up at the right place at the right time.
Just yesterday I had this happen.
While in a phone conversation over a phone service,
I was able to be wiser than my enemies.
And no, my enemy wasn’t the little gal on the other end.
But favor put me in a place to discern and catch things quickly, much like Mordecai.
Favor will bring you before the right people.
The problem most have with favor, is where it comes from.
If trying to achieve favor, you will end up short fused and bitter.
Favor is a gift.
It’s wrapped in the same package Jesus paid for for you,
Along with Salvation, Healing, Safety, Peace and all the other good things Jesus purchased.
But I know most of my walk with Jesus and maybe for others,
I didn’t understand that favor was a gift.
Like most of what I thought, being tainted by my need to impress God for favor.
I thought if I was good enough… then I had found favor.
Favor comes from believing what God says about you just like anything else.
So, I encourage you to boldly declare today, that you are God’s favorite.
