Kicking Against the Pricks

And he fell to the earth and heard a voice saying to him, Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me? Acts 9:4

And he said, Who are thou, Lord? And the Lord said, I Am Jesus whom you persecutest: it is hard for you to kick against the pricks. Acts 9:5

I believe strongly today that the Holy Spirit is dealing behind the scenes upon the hearts of people.

People who have been against you, are being touched by the heart of God to turn from evil and embrace truth.

The Lord often speaks to me in movies, as I’ve shared before.

I’m reminded this morning of a knock off film, you know the kind…

My hubby calls them cheap mades-

Where a woman was losing her ranch and was trying to gain it back with the help of a band of misfits.

She was trying to bring aid to her horses and the misfits by giving them all hope.

There was another woman, seemingly plagued by greed, who would undercurrent riots in young people, to protest what the woman was doing.

After a while, the good that was being accomplished couldn’t be denied, and the evil acting woman repented.

She yielded to the good.

I’m thinking of the same instance in the movie Tombstone where some of the “red sashes” turned in their identity as part of the gang,

By throwing their sashes down and seeing the wrong they had been following.

Paul was the one who penned his prayer for the eyes of our understanding to be enlightened, and no wonder,

Paul, himself, had experienced such a thing, while breathing out threats on his way to arrest Christians. See Acts 9.

These are cases of total transformation by the Spirit of God.

Only God can change a heart.

Our part is to pray like Paul, his prayer in Ephesians 1

The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints,

After all, for every believer, this is what occurred in us.

I believe people are being knocked off of their “high horses” this very day.

You mark His Word!

I heard the Spirit say to me last night,

“If He said it, then SO BE IT!”
