My son, Issac, loves to watch the Pink Panther.
While investigating the crime scene, Inspector Cleasau calls his suspect Yuri, the “trainer who trains.”
We cackle as the movie portrays the inspector as Captain Obvious.
But isn’t it something how it should be obvious that our God is a forgiver who forgives-
Yet, I know I struggle at times to believe that’s just who He is.
Look at this Truth with me;
“The Lord your God is in the midst of you, a Mighty One, a Savior [Who saves]! He will rejoice over you with joy; He will rest [in silent satisfaction] and in His love He will be silent and make no mention [of past sins, or even recall them]; He will exult over you with singing.”
Zephaniah 3:17 AMPC
I’m realizing this morning that if it’s not God recalling or making mention of my sins, then it has to be me or the devil!
That must be stopped,
Now that I’m aware of the Truth.
A friend of mine and I were discussing the whole “laurel and yanny” craze not long ago,
And she asked me what I heard.
“Yanny , hands down, I said.”
She heard Laurel.
“Well, what is it supposed to be?” I asked.
It’s supposed to be Laurel.
That settled it for me.
If Laurel was what was said….then,
It’s Laurel.
Truth, my friend, is not relevant.
That’s what has gotten this world into the mess it’s in.
Truth has been allowed to fall in the streets.
If we think, or feel, we heard yanny, then we take that as the truth for us.
But it’s not, if what was said, was actually Laurel.
The Word said to me this morning,
That my God is in my midst, not recalling, not rehearsing, my sins, or yours.
No, the reality is, He’s singing over us, and resting in His Love.
I’m not saying we don’t repent, when we have acknowledged our sin.
I’m saying, if We have, God is over it, and we should be too!
Today is a New Day.
A fresh batch of mercy.
Run boldly into your Father’s Arms.
They are open wide and waiting for you!
