We have been watching the Alone series.

Last night one of the girls we had been cheering on got pulled from the game because of frost bite to her toes.

Despite the horrific challenges, she never got down.

Instead she was constantly focused on the beauty surrounding her. She didn’t want to leave.

It was something to watch.

She had to hunt for her food in below freezing temperatures.

Cut down wood for fire to stay warm.

And battle small amounts of time without her toe going numb to try and catch fish.

Yet she focused on the beauty.

We tend to focus on the negative,

And miss the forest for the trees.

It’s all about perception.

The same was true of David.

He didn’t see the nine foot giant.

He saw His extraordinary God who had packed him with extraordinary promises.

I believe God is asking us today,

“Do you see what I see?”
