Let’s Get the Job Done

“He directed the people to sit down on the ground; and taking the seven loaves, He gave thanks and broke them, and [repeatedly] gave them to His disciples to set before them, and they served the crowd.”
‭‭Mark‬ ‭8:6‬ ‭AMP‬‬

I know I’ve read, even blogged about this passage of Scripture several times,

*The word passage lit up to me… in the likeness of this journey we’re on together. We’re going through this account of Jesus. Picking up the “trail treasure” found here.

But brothers and sisters,

Things are even clearer in the Word right here for me today.

Jesus is so sweet.

He Loves People.

These people had come to see what he had to say, and they would be exhausted if left to travel without food the Amplified version said.

“If I send them away to their homes hungry, they will faint [from exhaustion] on the road; because some of them have come a long way.””
‭‭Mark‬ ‭8:3‬ ‭AMP‬‬

Notice, Jesus said that. (He knows our every weakness)

Now, Jesus is the True bread of life.

He is the answer, we as believers know, or should.

But the crowd was still looking.

I gotta tell you, I see that right now.

This world, our nation, is looking for answers.

They’ve come to see, and they are about to leave hungry.

Sustaining doesn’t come from government!

It doesn’t come from a new idea proposed.

It doesn’t come from a political party.

It comes solely from Him, and then works out through people.

I believe the plan of Jesus that worked that day, will work Today, if we will submit to it.

He gave thanks and broke the bread and repeatedly gave it to them to pass out as they gave.

Notice, it wasn’t a stock pile of bread.

We often want to see what “we’re working with” before we make a move towards the multitude.

But if we will make a move, the meal will be provided.

That’s faith.

Jesus, who He is in Essence as Provision, and who and what the people were looking for,

Came through the hands of His Disciples.

We need to stop waiting until we have the full scope of the agenda to make a move.

We need to move on the Authority of the Word and the miracle of multiplication will follow.

Start with one person, then move to another.

That’s ministry folks.

Set your heart to hear and meet one need, then keep going.

Don’t be fooled, (I’m preaching to myself now) by thinking you have to do it all or have it all before you do something.

A friend of mine and I just discussed yesterday how we don’t have to know the specifics.

If we’re looking at Jesus, He is the specific, and direction from Him will follow.

Same as with the disciples that day.

So, What’s in your lunch bag?

What has Jesus placed in your hands to give out to the hungry.

How can you use it today to help get the job done?!

*Notice this again about our Savior- He met the need for them before they even knew they had it!

He knew they would be hungry and provided for them ahead of time.

That’s the GOD we serve!
