“For how can such a [weakened] servant of my lord talk with such [a being] as my lord? For now there remains no strength in me, nor has any breath been left in me.””
Daniel 10:17 AMP
It’s amazing to me how I can look back upon the scripture and see myself in it’s reflection.
Although I, like Daniel, didn’t know what was happening then,
It’s become, as promised, clearer and clearer.
Perhaps, undoubtedly, 20/20…vision.
The things that had me gripped in terror,
Weren’t of the enemy.
Although the things I began to see in my Spirit were alarming,
They were ordained by God to show me the path of life.
True life.
I was led this morning, after reading the account of Daniel chapter 10,
To this concept of a baby taking it’s first breath.
At birth, the baby’s lungs are filled with fluid. They are not inflated. The baby takes the first breath within about 10 seconds after delivery. This breath sounds like a gasp, as the newborn’s central nervous system reacts to the sudden change in temperature and environment-Medline Plus.gov
My gasp, like Daniel,
like this baby,
wasn’t a sign of a near death experience,
but rather of life.
God did that!
He fashioned us to gasp, when transitioning from one phase of life to the next.
Jesus said, I came to give life, and give it more abundantly. John 10.
There are so many children of God, remaining in the womb.
They’ve never been delivered, and birthed, so to speak into their Abundant life.
They’ve remained in the birth canal.
There’s pressure there.
There’s pain.
The struggle, is real.
Like Daniel, I wondered what was happening to me.
I had set my heart to hear God-
and now,
I was filled with terror and gasping for air,
Like the wind had been knocked out of me.
Yes, I’m a firm believer that God did not give us a spirit of fear, but the satanic kind is not what I’m speaking of.
Daniel and the Apostle John, are just a few to note, who bowed, more like passed out, in reverential fear in the presence of the Lord.
But both accounts the same, they were afterwards picked up and comforted.
I can testify to that as well.
I felt like that baby.
Lungs full but no breath.
The reality was, I wasn’t dying, but rather taking on a newness of life….
The more abundant kind.
The increase.
The thirty, sixty, and hundred fold.
The good, acceptable and perfect will of God for my life.
There are phases in this new life.
As I’m writing this, there are so many, even right now, gasping for oxygen.
Spiritual oxygen.
The feeling that we’ve had the breath knocked out of us as a generation and as a country,
Has left us gasping.
But I know, and Believe the character of my Father.
Brothers and Sisters, we’ve been positioned.
The pressure has been intense, and the pain overwhelming,
But I believe with all my heart….
The birthing-
Is here.
Newness of Life, if you’ll let it.
If you’ll believe.
Don’t abort the promise.
You see, I conceived a Seed of God’s Word a few years back as He overshadowed me.
It was this-
“How long will you falter between two opinions?”
The same word that Elijah asked of the children of Israel.
Trying to live on both sides of the fence will leave you in pain.
God wants all of you, because He knows what is Best for your life.
There’s life, and then there is the abundant one.
A baby is alive in the Womb.
AT CONCEPTION.
But that first breath, is the crossover, the transition, into the next phase.
Abundant life.
The potential to create and increase.
The living by the breath of God’s Word.
Inhaling it, and exhaling the Glory.
The very definition of a breath of fresh air.
So, the wrestling, the struggle, the pain, the pressure,
Was a season.
It was the transition.
It was GOD.
What felt like dying as I gasped for that breath of fresh air, was God designed.
We need Him.
We can’t survive without Him.
He, is oxygen.
What God was doing in Daniel,
What He did in the Apostle John,
Is happening.
The Word is birthing.
It’s ok to gasp.
It God.
Then He fills you.
With Him.
With the answer.
We are in Christ, and Christ is the answer to this generation.
That’s why the enemy has fought so hard to abort it- the abundant life in us.
He is the author of abortion.
a counterfeit to the author OF LIFE.
He’s out to steal the Word, at conception.
But I dare say that you and I are awakened.
The breath that we’ve been gasping for, is here.
We don’t look to the right or the left, but rather we look up.
Into the eyes of our Father.
New life has begun.
Breathe it in.
“Then the one (Gabriel) whose appearance was like that of a man touched me again, and he strengthened me. He said, “O man, highly regarded and greatly beloved, do not be afraid. Peace be to you; take courage and be strong.” Now when he had spoken to me, I was strengthened and said, “Let my lord speak, for you have strengthened me.””
Daniel 10:18-19 AMP
This is the breath of God today.
For you.
For your family.
For this nation.
We are carriers of Abundant life.
We have the resistance in our spiritual DNA, to withstand, and RESIST, every tactic of the enemy.
We are the enforcers of the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus.
Death could not stop Him.
I’ll remind you again…..
“And the enemy prevailed not.”
But life, prevailed.
Jesus Rose victorious OVER death.
My sweet Brothers and Sisters,
Greater is He that is in you, than he that is in this world.
Take a gulp of that.
A Greater than Elijah is here.
His Name is Jesus.
He is in me.
And in you, if you be Christ’s.
*If you’re reading this today, and you aren’t of Christ, it’s simple to be.
The Word said that if you confess with your mouth the Lordship of Jesus and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead-
YOU SHALL BE SAVED.
You are born again.
A brand new creature.
Stripped of the old life and given a new one.
An abundant one.
And if you’re born again, but not experiencing the newness of life that was promised, don’t abort the process of delivery.
It’s God.
The struggle is real, but the reward is worth it.
The comforter has come.
Breathe Him in.
