“And they had been asking one another, “Who can roll away the heavy stone for us from the entrance of the tomb?” But when they arrived, they discovered that the very large stone that had sealed the tomb was already rolled away!”

I kid you not.
I was high all day yesterday.
And I don’t plan on coming down today.
There is truly no high like the most high.
For those of you who have never done drugs,
You’ve done something.
There’s something you run to-
to temporarily relieve the pain or create a world in your mind, that feels like you’re above reality.
But I’m here to tell you, that the enemy is faking you out.
God is the original designer of getting you high.
High above your circumstances.
It’s in the secret place that you find what you’re looking for.
As I brought him my heavy heart the other night, I knew that only He could do the heavy lifting.
Like these ladies, I wrestled and pondered right before that about how it could be done.
I’d like to tell you that since then, I haven’t had to push the thoughts of how it will all work out out of my mind,
But then the Father graciously gives me another “hit” from His heart that lifts me up again!
I know these aren’t the most “gospely” terms this morning, but I’d rather listen to the Spirit that I believe speaks our language to set us free.
I dare say that some of you reading this post struggle with addiction.
Because your heart is heavy.
And you’ve tried everything to move the stone on your own.
I’ve been there.
But it only left me sore, tired and ashamed at my failure to fix anything.
I’m frank in my details of how getting High in Jesus works, because I believe He would rather speak your language and see you set free, than church it up and leave you in bondage.
God knew the hearts of these women this day-
And He knows yours today.
He knows everything about you.
He knew they’d show up.
He knew they couldn’t move the heavy thing.
But He could… and HE DID.
They pushed past the impossible in their minds.
And God honored their sincere hearts.
I don’t even have to say you should bring it to Him, He already knows.
He’s not surprised by the size of your heaviness.
Or by the fact that the heaviness is covering a tomb-
A holding place of dead things….
Just look to the Word.
But when they arrived-
We do this every day.
We arrive at places we’ve prepared our hearts to go.
We’ve made provisions.
An addict will do whatever it takes to arrive.
But these women were looking for the real deal.
Their desperate hearts pushed them past all the reasoning and impossibilities, and they arrived.
“Higher than the mountains that I face… stronger than the power of the Grave.”
That’s what’s pouring out of my Spirit right now.
I’m taking this promise this morning and sharing it with you…
Whatever you’re facing.. push past the reasoning, and keep pursuing His heart.
When you arrive, and you will-
He promised that if we seek Him, we will find Him-
You’ll find that the heavy thing,
Has been lifted!
And the dead things have to come alive in His presence.
