Baggage Claim

My friend Jan did something brilliant at our last bag check on the way home from our trip.

Instead of packing around her heavy carry on- that we had done prior,

just in case-

the airline was irresponsible with our suitcases-

She decided since we were going home,

We would have what we needed regardless, when we got there.

Now let’s apply that to life.

This isn’t our final destination.

But if you’re like me, sometimes you choose to lug some extra baggage around with you when it’s not necessary.

Just in case.

A Just in case in the kingdom-

is simply not trusting our Heavenly Airline.

We feel that if we carry those burdens or offenses,

it somehow lets us know we’re being taken care of.

But that’s a lie.

It really only adds more weight.

If we would just Trust God and allow Him to do what he said in our insurance policy of the Word-

He would lift our burdens,

Right our wrongs.

Heal our diseases.

And give us whatever we need ahead of us.

Yes, Jan was an example to me today in more ways than one.

This is too good, and timely, not to share.

Share this with someone you know who could use to drop some weight!

Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,2 Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God. Hebrews 12:1-2
