I’m writing this morning in view of my light switch.
As nice as it is, it would be crazy to think that praise is to be given to it.
The light switch only helps to bring the light.
The True Source is electricity.
In the same manner, we often get so distracted by the need to praise the gifts of the Spirit instead of God, who gave the gifts.
My heart breaks for the Body of Christ.
Instead of functioning as a family, we often function like American Idol.
While pondering these things yesterday, the Holy Spirit drew my eyes to the light switch.
Absurd.
I thought.
Yet, how many times do I look at “light switches” to bring me THE light?
They are a part yes, but the True Source is where Light comes from.
So, no surprise that the daily bread this morning was 1 Corinthians 12.
“Each believer is given continuous revelation by the Holy Spirit to benefit not just himself but all.”
1 Corinthians 12:7 TPT
The Kingdom is about serving-
Using our gifts to benefit the body.
We are His Body.
When we keep our focus on the Giver-
We are fully aware of how and when to use the gifts given By Him.
