Perfectly Perfect

“I am convinced and confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will [continue to] perfect and complete it until the day of Christ Jesus [the time of His return].”
‭‭Philippians‬ ‭1:6‬ ‭AMP‬‬

As I look at my refrigerator this morning, bedazzled and Batman-ed with color, I see the progress, and the beauty,

in the growth of my children.

I found myself smiling, like it was the first time they handed me their masterpieces.

And up from my Spirit came a card that my Aunt once gave to me, that read,

“If God had a refrigerator, your picture would be on it.”

I had always thought of that as my snapshot.

But this morning, I see a very different picture, or should I say pictures, when my heart thinks of that heavenly fridge.

I must say, I believe if my delight is in the moments captured by my darlings pictures, then how could our Father not be even more delighted in us.

He is with us every moment, but I’m getting a strong sense this morning that our Father recollects all of our masterpieces and it brings Him great delight.

Take David, for instance.

He definitely had some major spiritual scribbles.

But God chose to ponder on the picture that made him the man after His own heart.

I was just reminded of that yesterday, as a friend told me of some dear folks who struggle believing life isn’t over for them due to some scribbles.

That’s putting it mildly, it seems-

But you know, compared to the BLOOD OF JESUS, it is mild.

“My sin was great, YOURE LOVE WAS GREATER.”

And, those lyrics match the Word that declares that where sin abounds, GRACE does much more abound.

What am I saying… we should Glory in sin?

Absolutely not.

I know what my scribbles have done to wreak havoc.

I don’t want that life anymore.

But I also know That the Blood of My Savior was Stronger and has cleansing properties that Wipe it completely CLEAR!

So the Father doesn’t see the scribbles.

He sees the heart of His children in their growth-

following after the heart of their Father.

That’s everyone of us who find ourselves clothed with Christ.

He, was a man after God’s heart, fully surrendered, so that we could be the same.

Look to Him.

He is The Masterpiece.

And all of our pictures surround His.

And I believe, our Father takes great delight in watching us grow.
