Hang Up

Sin is a dethroned monarch; so you must no longer give it an opportunity to rule over your life, controlling how you live and compelling you to obey its desires and cravings. So then, refuse to answer its call to surrender your body as a tool for wickedness. Romans 6:12-13

The world is calling.

It’s sin-sick ridden, deadly voice is screeching every time you turn on the news, look at a sick body, or hear an evil report.

But I just read that we don’t have to answer it.

Brothers and Sisters, we do, have the power to hang up.

My good friend and I were chiming back and forth the other day, with some Doc Holiday quotes from the movie Tombstone.

She brought up where Doc said, “Johnny I apologize. I forgot you were there. You may go now.”

You would have to have seen it, but it was a mockery of how little power Johnny really had in the presence of someone with real authority.

I thought to myself, what if we handled the enemy like that?

Nonchalant, because it’s almost humorous how little power he actually has.

I’ve said it before, but I’ll say it again…

There has to be a reckoning.

We have to know, and believe we have what it takes because of what Jesus did for us.

Doc knew he had power over this guy.

He didn’t even give him the time of day.

When the devil calls today, Hang up on Him!
