“The harvest you reap reveals the seed that you planted. If you plant the corrupt seeds of self-life into this natural realm, you can expect a harvest of corruption. If you plant the good seeds of Spirit-life you will reap beautiful fruits that grow from the everlasting life of the Spirit.”
Galatians 6:8 TPT
We cackle every time we watch Second Hand Lions, at the part where they go out to harvest a variety of vegetables, only to find corn.
The harvest looked the same throughout.
“What did you plant here?”
One would ask the other.
“And here?”
They had been dooped by the seed salesman.
I’m reminded today, that as I take inventory of what’s growing in my life,
I need to check my seeds!
If our life looks dysfunctional then we have sown seed accordingly.
God cannot be mocked the Word says.
You can’t sow truth and love and reap dysfunction.
But if we sow discord and murmuring…
We get what we get, and can’t throw a fit!
But…It’s never too late to turn our ships around.
Particularly relation–ships.
If there is one that seems to be on choppy waters or maybe even sunk,
Remember our words can change it, according to James Chapter 3.
Jesus gave us several opportunities in the Word to make amends.
He even said that if our brother has something against us, to take care of that before we head to the alter!
Relationships are important to God.
I believe it’s a representation of how we see Father.
It gauges our relationship with Him.
John said if we can’t love our brothers we can see, How can we love God whom we can’t see?
Do we know we’re forgiven?
Then we will reveal a quickness to forgive.
Are we blessed?
Then we will be lavish givers.
I’m coming up higher in these areas, as Father is dealing with this first, in me.
I’m just sharing part of my Christmas with you.
He gave us the gift of relationships-
And the batteries, Grace, to understand how they work.
Like everything else, they must be stewarded-
And tended to.
Let’s take a look at our gardens shall we?!
What are we growing?
