“Jesus and his apostles came down from the hillside to a level field, where a large number of his disciples waited, along with a massive crowd: people from all over Judea, Jerusalem, and the coastal district of Tyre and Sidon.”
Luke 6:17 TPT
This was like the icing on the cake the Father has been baking for me the past couple of years.
As I’ve previously shared, we, The Weible’s-
run, we hike, we camp, we race, we garden.
I knew something was off.
Not just in our garden, but in the way I was experiencing ministry.
Not that it wasn’t working, but not to it’s max potential.
Not according to the revelation of 30-60-100 fold found in Romans 12:2, and what I wanted to see in our lives.
Our garden now, doesn’t look the same as it did seven years ago.
I remember it.
It was good.
We had quite a bit of fruit.
But we had a lot of weeds and it was super hard to water.
Did you know that the “OG
(that means Original– I learned that lingo from the race track!)
Garden,” was bottom watered before the fall of man?
“This is the history of [the origin of] the heavens and of the earth when they were created, in the day [that is, days of creation] that the LORD God made the earth and the heavens— no shrub or plant of the field was yet in the earth, and no herb of the field had yet sprouted, for the LORD God had not caused it to rain on the earth, and there was no man to cultivate the ground, but a mist (fog, dew, vapor) used to rise from the land and water the entire surface of the ground—”
Genesis 2:4-6 AMP
Adam wasn’t cut loose with a million foot hose.
God did the watering.
He stabilized growth from the roots.
Let me show you what that looks like, by an email I got from the gardening folks we follow.
They’ve caught on…..

“Let’s talk Drip Irrigation…
Why should you consider a system this gardening season? What are the benefits?
Top Reasons:
One of the most important reasons – you’re able to feed the water where the plants need it most – plant roots. It will reduce the overall amount of water you are applying to your garden. By reducing overhead watering, you also decrease weed pressure and reduce disease.
One of our favorites is using the Hoss Fertilizer Injector with the Drip Irrigation System. It is the most efficient delivery system for nutrients to your garden. Adding the right fertilizer to your injector and your drip tape saves time and energy! The fertilizer hits the roots of your plants and gives them each the right amount it needs.
Just to recap – water conversation, fewer weeds, less disease, easy way to fertilize, and increased yields! Who doesn’t want that??
🙋♀️I want that.
We wanted that.
So we made some changes.
I’ll expound on this later, but our first change was location.
Better, it seemed.
Easier to water.
It was closer access to the hose, but still so many weeds and the ground was not very pliable.
Again, acceptable but not the Best.
So we’ve moved on to ground work.
Same spot, but…
We changed soil.
Sometimes, just like hard ground, our hearts become hardened and calloused by life.
We need a check up from the neck up, as Jospeh Z says!
We did both.
We sat down with Jesus and learned of Him.
Did you notice in the above scripture that he came down to a level field?
We answered His call to come to Him. We were weary and heavy burdened and He promised us rest.
Dust took a break from racing and I stepped down from my position in ministry.
And do you know what I learned?
How to bottom water.
I’ve spent the last two years living ministry by watering from the bottom.
I humbled myself as I was led.
Sounds like someone else I know.
Maybe you’ve heard the tune…
“Light of the world you stepped down into darkness, opened my eyes, let me see.”
Jesus came down.
He watered on our level.
Underground ministry.
He became all things with us, yet without sin, to cause us to rise and bear fruit!
Once again, Father restored His intent from the first garden, to bottom water, through Jesus.
Jesus told the disciples that the kings of this world Lord over their subjects, but the greatest in the Kingdom would be servant of all.
Look at Him.
He’s radiant.
He’s expressed the very heart of our Father.
He is the Water source-
Bringing life to every thing and everyone-
Springing up in us to eternal life.
We are rooted and grounded in Him, and we will carry out His heart to be fruitful and multiply.
