Happy Sunday

“God is our refuge and strength [mighty and impenetrable], A very present and well-proved help in trouble.”
‭‭Psalms‬ ‭46:1‬ ‭AMP‬‬

In my heart, all I can see in this verse right now, is,

God. Is. A. Present.

I love presents.

I usually get them on my birthday, or other special days….

But what if we looked at it like this, today.

He is our PRESENT.

When I get a good present, I like to share it.

Whether it’s a gift card to my favorite restaurant, or a shopping trip, it’s more enjoyable with the ones you love.

Makes church look a little different, huh?

Or how I’ll go about the rest of my day.

With this perception, I’m sharing from what I already have, not from what I’m lacking, or looking to get someday.

It changes the way I worship.

I’m not worshipping from a place of desperation.

Trust me, I’ve been there.

That’s a great place to start.

But today, I recount His presence.

Always.

Without fail.

He’s been there.

He’s made a way.

And He’s proven, to do it again!

That’s the cloud of witnesses speaking from yesterday.

My Aunt Mac used to sing a song…

“He’ll do it again. Yes. He’ll Do it again. Just take a look, at where you are now, and where you’ve been… doesn’t He always come through for you, He’s the same now, as then. You may not know how, you may not know when, but He’ll do it again.”

I’m seeing myself entering a boxing ring.

But I’ve already seen this fight ahead of time…

And….I win!

That’s faith.

We just walk out what we’ve seen and heard Him say.

That’s what Jesus did.

He said, “I do and say what I see my Father doing and saying.”

Look at what He’s put in your hands today…

Lift whatever “it” is, large or small, up, to God, and GIVE THANKS…just like Jesus did with the loaves and fishes placed in His hands,

Watch what happens next!
