Velcro

My mom was many things to us, growing up, but one of which she wasn’t, was a seamstress.

She passed that trait down to me!

When my little brother was in grade school, he wasn’t the tallest, and his britches always seemed to rub the ground.

So, in a effort to fix him up, mom found some Velcro.

I don’t remember the whole scenario, but I would imagine my little brother came home with more than just his pants hemmed, as the Velcro collected some things.

The collection of things… is what I want to talk about.

Am I like Velcro or oil?

Do I allow situations in life to stick to me, like those little hitch-hikers along the trail, or let things go, like water off a ducks back?

Sadly, I found myself to be more like Velcro here lately.

Praise Be to God, as my seamstress, and yours….

Today we can change!

Let Him hem us up right.

This is where my mind changed about it last night:

““I love each of you with the same love that the Father loves me. You must continually let my love nourish your hearts. If you keep my commands, you will live in my love, just as I have kept my Father’s commands, for I continually live nourished and empowered by his love.”
‭‭John‬ ‭15:9-10‬ ‭TPT‬‬

We must… continually, let His Love nourish us.

That seems like more of a command.

It’s our oil.

His love, let’s loose of any wrongs committed.

When we are saturated in that Love, nothing can stick.

We aren’t bogged down by what we may have collected.

Let Him tailor your in His Love today.
