“It was during supper, when the devil had already put [the thought of] betraying Jesus into the heart of Judas Iscariot, Simon’s son, that Jesus, knowing that the Father had put everything into His hands, and that He had come from God and was [now] returning to God,”
John 13:2-3 AMP
It still happened.
Jesus was still betrayed.
But…He had power over power.
He could have stood up right then, and defended himself.
The Word says knowing.
Jesus knew what was going on.
That’s the reason for prophecy.
He had the Word ahead of time.
But how did He use it?
If you go on to read from John 13, He chose to get up and gird himself…
I believe with Truth.
He was reminded of where He was from and where He was going.
The circumstance didn’t change.
But the heart of Jesus, in knowing Truth, changed how He handled it.
The enemy would have liked to have fired Jesus up in anger, but Jesus instead, chose service to His Father, and brothers.
He was faithful to His calling.
And, we know and believe, He overcame.
Jesus rose victorious over shame, betrayal and rejection.
We now, share that victory.
We too, can choose the Power over power.
Love conquers.
