Meek Me Outside…..How Bout That

All things are delivered unto me of my Father: and no man knoweth the Son, but the Father; neither knoweth any man the Father, save the Son, and he to whomsoever the Son will reveal him.28 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.

John had sent his disciples to see if Jesus was really who He said he was.

Not who Jesus really said, He was, but who John had said He was.

Remember, John had prophesied about Jesus.

He Called Him out to be THE ONE, in whom the Holy Ghost descended, and made evident, that He indeed, was The One.

He thought He knew.

But now, when the heat is on, he’s second guessing.

It’s not looking like the ministry he signed up for.

I’ve been there.

And Jesus, answered me, just like He answered those standing by that day.

Those trying to figure out who to really follow and what to do next.

A transition was taking place.

I’ve connected with several of my brothers and sisters outside.

Whether it’s out in the church lobby, or out in every day life,

they are asking this same question.

“I didn’t think ministry would look like this.”

But I share with them, what Jesus shared with me.

Come unto Me

There’s a difference.

Man, even in his efforts to follow Jesus, will fail.

Just like John.

Doubt starts to creep in when persecution arises.

But Jesus, never failed.

That’s the transition taking place right now in the Body of Christ.

For so long it’s been set up like King Saul.

Like an American Idol.

Saul wasn’t really built up in God, but rather himself.

So if anything threatened his kingship, he was jealous and shaky.

David wanted a mentor because that’s what Saul was supposed to be to him.

But David had to find, just like we do, that God was His True Father.

That’s what Jesus was saying.

Religious is man worship.

Jesus is life.

As we simply follow Him, ministry is a by product.

Learn of me…

He said.

But more than not, we’re learning of others, instead of learning of Jesus, and then when they slip, we are tempted to just give up, and question it all.

Jesus never slipped and he never will.

He sent back to John saying… am I not doing what I said I would do?

People are healed, demons are fleeing…the gospel is being preached.

Follow ME!- Jesus.

When your eyes are on Him, not only will you not slip, but you can help others get back on track and point them to Jesus.
